dbTechnology offers different packages that serve different needs. We offer services that meet the needs of both residential and business users.

Residential

Up to 1.5Mbps down and 256Kbps up^‡
Provides high-speed Internet access to download large files, enjoy music and streaming video and online games.

Super Fast DSL

Up to 3Mbps down and 384Kbps up^‡
Up to twice as fast as Full DSL, so you can download, surf, and email at lightning-fast speeds.

Details: Unlimited residential DSL Internet access through dbTech's tried and trusted Alabama based network. All Residential DSLs include one E-mail account, Free Backup Dial-up, Free Virus Filtering, Free Spam Filtering, and Free Usenet News.

Setup Fee: This is a one time non-waivable setup fee.
Customer Premise Installation*: $150
An experienced technician will install and configure the Ethernet modem connection at your location.
*You do not have to have a technician to do the install for you. The majority of DSL users perform the install themselves, with instructions that will be provided.
Modem: Zoom X5 - $79.95 / X6 - $99.95 + tax

At dbTech, we have always maintained a 'Quality comes first' attitude for all of our services. So when we selected the modems to use with our high speed DSL service we knew that an external Ethernet modem was a must. DSL customers have a choice of DSL routers that make home networking a simple job. Both routers allow more than one computer to connect at the same time at no extra charge. Our X5 Ethernet Router allows computers with network cards to connect to the Internet
with simple ethernet cables. Our X6 Wireless Ethernet Router sells for computers with 802.11 wireless cards to connect wirelessly to the Internet. It also allows computers with network cards to connect to the Internet too.
You are not restricted to using these modems with our service, however we will not be able to provide Technical Support for un-approved products.
Cancellation Fee: Residential DSL service is provided with a Six (6) Month Contract. DSL Lite & Premium DSL service cancelled within 6 months are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Super Fast DSL service cancelled within 6 months is subject to a $100 cancellation fee.

Details: The business based DSL packages listed here, are for use in a wide variety of applications. From multi-workstation, internet intensive environments, to large office networks and in-house mail processing.* Some of these applications are possible through a residential package, however it should be noted that use of residential DSL service for any kind of server or network (other than those indicated as suitable) is in breach of the dbTech terms of service.

For many business applications, a DSL modem will suffice. In such cases we recommend the same external ethernet modem as for our residential DSL. Both routers allow more than one computer to connect at the same time at no extra charge. Cisco Systems Router - $call

For more complex network routing we will be able to provide a Cisco router. The specific model and price will depend on the needs of your business. In all cases it is recommended
that an experienced LAN administrator sets up your network. dbTech does not currently perform any LAN administration services.
Setup Fee: This is a non-waivable one time setup fee.
Cancellation Fee / Contract: All business DSL accounts are subject to a minimum term of 1 year.

Best Effort: DSL is a best effort service, which can provide speeds up to 3Mbps downstream and 384K upstream. (3Mbps speeds are only possible with dbTech's Super Fast DSL service.) The actual speed experienced by customers may vary and depends on several factors including the DSL product purchased from dbTech, Telco provider, Telco provisioning and line quality, distance from the Telco DSL access point, telephone wiring and attached components in customer facility, destination on the Internet, traffic on the Internet, etc. No minimum level of speed is guaranteed. Connection speed is delivered "as is."
