Welcome to the Tuscaloosa Veterans Industries Web Site. We are a non-profit vocational rehabilitation program located at the Tuscaloosa Alabama Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Our program is designed to supplement the production needs of business while providing opportunities for unemployed veterans to return to the workforce.

Our program has been in operation since 1967 and has worked with business and industry during this time to provide a cost effective method of meeting the increased demands of operating a business.

Through our Sheltered Workshop, Veterans Industries has the capability to assist any operation from small scale businesses to large national companies, since we are affiliated with more than 100 similar programs throughout the country. Our inhouse operation can assist you in meeting deadlines with short term runs or extended jobs without the need to hire additional personnel. Materials can be drop shipped to our location for assembly thereby reducing your material handling costs. We can perform labor intensive jobs of a less technical nature which frees up your higher paid skilled work force.

We also provide the capability of providing an on site workforce through our Transitional Work Program program. You will gain additional workers without the cost of overhead associated with workmens compensation, vacation pay, sick leave, medical insurance or other additional costs. Work may be temporary in order to provide you with immediate short term needs or long term, which may result in employment for some of our veterans.
